I really enjoy Ponce City Market for a change of scenery when I need to get some work done, as well as for the chance to try something new. On a recent visit, I was looking for something that would be both tasty and helpful while I worked. I decided to go for the churro crunch donut and a mini cold brew. If I’m being honest, the food didn’t leave much of an impression. It was decent, but not something I’d rush back for. However, what really stood out was the staff—who were incredibly patient and kind. They made sure I had everything I needed while I worked, which made the experience much more enjoyable. It’s definitely a place I’d return to for the atmosphere and the friendly service, even if the food didn’t quite hit the mark.

This past Sunday, I treated myself to an afternoon delight at Five Daughters Bakery, located on the first level of Ponce City Market. Even with the crowds buzzing through the market, the staff kept things moving smoothly—I was in and out in no time! After a quick scan of the display, I settled on The Purist, Strawberry Glazed, and a Mini Shortcake. Each one was so good—soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The flavors were well-balanced, and you could tell they’re crafted with care. One of my favorite parts? The thoughtful touch of a Bible verse printed on the box—a small detail that left a big impression. If you’re ever craving a sweet treat in Atlanta, I definitely recommend stopping by Five Daughters. Your taste buds will thank you!

An elevated bakery inside of Ponce City. We ordered the hundred layered donut which felt like a rebranded croissant donut crossover. It wasn’t bad, the flavor and flakiness was good. Just wasn’t very special or exciting. I’m sure a lot of labor goes into making it which is appreciated. Though it’s difficult to determine if the atmosphere and pricing of the baked goods is elevated just because it’s located in PCM.

The cashier was so friendly. Had a dedicated tray for vegan donuts, the churro crunch was amazing. We additionally had the mini berry crisp, was also very good and flavorful. Pricing was the same for the donuts in spite of the huge size difference.

I was told if there was one place to visit while in Atlanta, it should be here. I was not disappointed. I highly suggest getting the "King Kong" donut!
