Not much to look at on the outside, oozes character and Cajun goodness on the inside. You order at the counter, get your own drink and take a pager to alert you on your food. There’s a verity of seating from tables, booths and a few high tops. There’s a great selection of sauces, paper towels and accouterments at the table. Ambiance is excellent with a steady flow of the blues playing. Another jewel in the Dallas metro area. I came here with one thing in mind and with quickly called to get the Jambalaya. It slaps—nice reasoning, plentiful fresh shrimp that leaves your ears with a slight sense of heat in your eardrums. Fresh brewed sweet/unsweetened iced tea is available as well. Lots of desert options for you to choose from. The banana pudding called me but I chose the brownie aka mode. Brownie was warm with a healthy scoop of old fashioned vanilla ice cream—ohhhh yeah. If you want fish or Cajun food in the middle of Texas you can’t go wrong here.

Really really delicious and the staff was so sweet. I ordered everything at once but they kept my dessert chilled until I finished. Not pictured: $6 beer. I will definitely be returning.

I can only speak to the desserts (bread pudding and banana pudding). First of all, very ballsy of them to charge $8 for maaaaybe 3 bites worth of bread pudding. It was light and soft, but very yeasty-flavored... like a wet bread. It was missing the punch of sweetness & custard that I'm accustomed to. The banana pudding was standard, and worth it for $3.50. Won't be back unless they improve.
