Here's what people think of Freddo Brickell

As of recent, Freddo Brickell holds a 4.3-star rating based on 793 reviews.

Customer reviews widely recognize Freddo Brickell for its authentic and high-quality gelato. Many patrons praise the creamy texture and natural flavors, emphasizing how the fresh ingredients shine through in every scoop. The attentive and enthusiastic staff enhance the experience, helping visitors select flavors and making everyone feel welcome. Positive reviews highlight the unique Argentine-style recipes and appreciate the value for money, finding the prices reasonable given the product’s quality and artisanal preparation. The small size of the venue is sometimes mentioned as a cozy, welcoming feature rather than a drawback, encouraging a relaxed and intimate environment. Conversely, some negative feedback points to limited seating capacity and a relatively small space, which can make it feel crowded during peak times. A few customers note that the range of flavors, while carefully curated, is not extensive compared to some other ice cream shops, which may disappoint those looking for broader options. Additionally, minor critiques have been aimed at pricing, which some find on the higher side for Miami standards, though justified by product quality. Overall, the consensus remains strongly positive with customers appreciating the authentic Argentine gelato experience paired with excellent service, making Freddo Brickell a standout in Miami’s dessert scene.

In the heart of Brickell, amid the sterile glass and sterile grins, there’s a man named Carlos behind the counter at Freddo who serves something that cuts through the illusion like a philosopher’s blade. This gelato was creamy, cold, unreasonably indulgent. It is not a mere dessert. It's what the Oracle at Delphi might’ve handed you after a long fast: a sacred offering to awaken the senses. I ordered large because anything less would’ve been dishonest. Cookies and cream, dripping over itself like a Dionysian prayer. Each bite, a reminder that joy doesn’t need permission. Carlos didn’t just scoop gelato, he orchestrated a moment of reverent indulgence. Five stars isn’t enough. This was divine play disguised as dessert.

Five stars- not just because the gelato/sorbet was fabulous, but because the only worker was giving it his all despite the fact it was 11:00pm and he seemed exhausted. As someone who’s worked in restaurants, I admit I didn’t always provide the best service in the last half hour before close so I will never be upset when people don’t have the best attitude if I’m pulling up within 30 minutes of closing— that makes it all the more impressive that he was able to stay kind, patient, and helpful.

How does Freddo Brickell stand out among other dessert or gelato shops in Miami? Freddo’s unique Argentine heritage combined with Italian gelato tradition provides a distinctive flavor profile that sets it apart from many other dessert venues in Miami. Unlike generic gelato shops that often prioritize style over substance, Freddo emphasizes authentic, high-quality ingredients—fresh hormone-free milk, pure cane sugar, and natural fruit purees imported directly from Argentina. These elements create flavors with genuine intensity and depth that keep customers coming back. Its status as part of a well-established international chain with roots dating back to the 1960s adds credibility and a legacy of gelato expertise that many competitors lack. Additionally, its location in Brickell—a neighborhood notable for high-end eateries—positions Freddo as an accessible yet affordable artisan jewel among more expensive or less authentic options. This combination of authenticity, quality, and accessible sophistication makes it an exceptional choice, especially for groups seeking both excellent taste and a memorable local experience.

What should groups know before visiting Freddo Brickell for a meetup? It’s helpful to note that while the shop is praised for its flavor quality and service, some visitors mention that the flavor variety is somewhat limited compared to other, larger gelato venues. That said, the selections available tend to be thoughtfully crafted rather than overly broad, focusing on quality rather than quantity. Also, the prices for gelato bars are considered affordable, around $3, which means groups can enjoy multiple treats without heavy expense. Visitors should expect a friendly atmosphere but a cozy space that might fill up during peak times, so planning for off-peak visits could enhance the experience. The option to sit outside makes it suitable for enjoying Miami’s pleasant weather while socializing. Finally, given the Brickell location, combining your Freddo visit with a walk in the area or an outing to nearby restaurants and bars can help create a full and memorable day with friends or family.

Freddo Brickell offers an outstanding blend of authentic Argentine-Italian gelato tradition, inviting atmosphere, and a convenient urban location, making it a compelling destination for friends and families to gather.
