Faced discrimination against disability. Used to be a good nonprofit, but it did a 180 after COVID This is an update response to their response to my post. They literally lied to me on the phone saying that they were giving me one of the spots for Techie Lab and had me write everything down of all of the days and times that class would be meeting. The instructor instead of admitting to her error later when she said that I wasn’t selected which I was waiting for the email since on the phone she said that I was continued to be very rude and hostile and rude towards me. They have continually denied me in person meetings and has been refusing to answer their phones every time that I call. They refused to also help me with the hands on help and assistance that I needed for their semiconductor program and was told by Maricopa County Community Colleges that I can’t get into any of those programs because there’s over 600 people on the waiting list. They refused to help me when I’ve been approved for close to a year for vocational rehabilitation to be able to utilize it for education. I’ve been declined help and assistance for jobs because they said that they don’t do that anymore and I don’t have protection to maintain mine with disabilities. They refused to help me with anything that has caused struggles since my disabilities has gotten worse, but yet, they claim that they have been reasonably accommodating me. Oh, I almost forgot, they refuse to provide notes now since they don’t do any in person trainings or a note taker and removed most of their trainings that was offered by volunteers because they make more money by being partnered with the colleges instead. But hey, what do I know when I have changed several policies within government entities and corporations as large as Walmart regarding discrimination. So if you want to support them, then you’re supporting a company that only wants to support non disabled women to have good quality employment and would rather have women with disabilities not be allowed the case manager anymore or help with anything regarding employment. But also, autism with a bachelors degree is an 80-85% unemployment rate and it’s because nonprofit’s like this one straight refuses any reasonable accommodation, help, or assistance with anything. You should be proud of what you wrote me and I’m giving that screenshot to Hannah from Disability Rights Advocates to decide if she agrees with you or when I show her the evidence of you denying me constantly reasonable accommodation if she agrees with me and will represent me on this issue as well.
