This is the worst experience I have ever had in my life I moved to Utah for a job at the post office with no family and very little money when I couldn’t afford a hotel room I was referred here and after the put me outside in 20 below degrees the “new shift “ allowed me to come inside they have no beds vending machines that took my money and staff full off ex dope heads and recovering addicts who don’t know how to talk to people. I am speechless that Volunteers of America Utah is horrible like this the pictures on google are dishonest cause it’s absolutely nothing like they are trying to paint it. Oh and they very racist/ prejudice against black people

Unbelievable behavior from people and some staff, bad policies come with a double standard, if mentally ill staff coddles them. Nonstop screaming, telling, tantrums and profanity makes you wonder if they can speak english. A pregnant security guard was punched in the stomach and told by the client , "I hope your baby dies!". Verbal abuse nonstop. Lots of drugs both illegal and prescriptions can be found on all bathroom floors and by drinking fountain. Huge theft problem 24/7. No real casesork til person has spent 4 years or more rotting. Local area full of drug dealers passing iut fentynyl analogs other stuff I can't identify along with syringes. They block sidewalks covered in feces, urine, build small fires etc.

They search you every time you enter the shelter, confiscate religious items, poison you, don't provide refrigerators for you to bring in your own groceries, steal your property then kick you out for no good reason. I was arrested from here for just walking to the gym. Unconscionable!
