Loved this store! The directions were a bit hard to get to, but right after exiting, I made a quick lane switch to the right and turned on the street by TCEQ and it was the correct street, thankfully. I love that they have items exclusive to the local office. My daughter found a really cool varsity-style jacket that she loved and isn't available on the national site. Lots of fun patches available too. Very excited to come here again!

Love the opportunity to spend time with my Girl Scout kids through an organization that promotes leadership essentials of courage, confidence, & character. Parent volunteers are always needed to be troop leaders, troop treasurers, troop camp coordinators, and in various other roles. This is a safe space for girls to learn and practice leadership and life skills that will equip them with tools to thrive in their future world. Best of all they will build lifelong friendships.

Both of my daughters have been in Girl Scouts since kindergarten. Now one is a senior Girl Scout and one is a Cadette. I am the leader of the Cadette troop #40406. The years of activities that the girls have done together has formed friendships for life. As we get older and busier schedules it is harder to get together. However this year we have still been on 2 campouts (Ropes Courses, BB Gun shooting, Cooking, and some plain relaxing fun like Camp Jellystone) We still do World Thinking Day every year and hosted as France, We went to Girl Day at UT. Worked on Our First Aide and Babysitting badges and Primitive camper badges, Financial budgeting with cookie $. So rewarding! When I was asked to lead a troop because no one else would do it- I did not think I had the capacity of time around work and other kids sports. But it really doesn't take that much time to make sure they get together for meetings twice a month and a few extra fun things. Please consider becoming a leader- it is regarding you you as well as the girls!

Girl Scouts of Central Texas is a wonderful organization! The shop is lovely, and the people there are always helpful. They've patiently sifted through badges with me on more than one occasion. The council offices are in the same building and can be reached using the same phone number. Whenever I call, whether for support as a troop leader or as a parent, their responses are quick and kind. We are particularly lucky to have an extraordinary service unit to boot - Thanks Midtown SU! Our troop is nearly two years old now, and we are feeling rooted and strong. Our girls have had an amazing year, and we are all looking forward to another year of Girl Scouting!

Beyond annoyed with the adults in the council here. They are beyond restrictive, they spy on girls who are selling girl scout cookies or fall products & try to find a reason to basically have them not allowed to sell. They are not for helping and growing the girls at all. My girls have been in a council up north and could have booths across service unit lines, siblings can be near the girls. There is not so much fuss and spying and craziness up there. The "adults" here (and I say that lightly, as they act like children) do not care about the girls in their growth. We previously lived in New Braunfels and the closest troops were in Kyle and I couldn't put the girls in that troop because they are in a different council, so my girls would not be allowed to even sell to their neighbors. It's beyond ridiculous. Hopefully they will start making the girls a priority and stop with their petty games.
