It is with great pleasure that I write this review for Hong Wu Golden Dragon Academy. Both of my sons (ages 6 and 8) attend the after school program and summer camps. The diversity of challenging classes keeps my boys engaged in activities they love, including robotics, chess, music, art, poetry, math, bilingual language, and martial arts (Kung Fu). The teachers are top-notch and caring educators who are passionate about creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing environment for all children to thrive in. Most days my boys don’t want to leave, which is a testament to how wonderful this academy is and how much they (and we as parents!) love Hong Wu Golden Dragon Academy. Thanks again to the founders for not only creating a wonderful academic retreat for our children, but also a great community for all of the families. I highly recommend Hong Wu Golden Dragon Academy!

My daughter has been in Golden Dragon After School since Aug 2024 (K Grade), it’s been a great experience for us so far. A couple of things I like the most: 1. For their after-school program, they offer transportation that can help pick up kids at school around 2-3pm while we both are still at work. It’s been safe without any concern from our side. 2. My daughter likes Chinese Teacher Ms. Wu a lot, she has been learning to read and write a lot of Chinese characters, poems, and that’s one of the main reasons we sent her to Golden Dragon. 3. My daughter also likes Golden Dragon camps during school break, especially the field trip part where she had a lot of fun at Chuck E. Chess, AirTrack Park, Museums, Aquarium, Hiking etc. 4. Golden Dragon also offers a variety of enrichment classes with very professional teachers including dance, rhythm gymnastics, chess, art, table tennis, Robotics, piano, etc. Can’t forget to mention Wushu, one of the best in San Diego area leading by Principal Ms. Huang, and Coach Wills. 5. Golden Dragon recently did some renovation of the classroom. Compared to some other after school I visited, I like the cleaner, brighter classroom at Golden Dragon with several kids friendly bathroom. 6. All the teachers are very caring. Principal Ms. Huang knows every kid’s name, and always response effectively, sharing pictures and feedback on how kids are doing at school all the time. Golden Dragon was also invited to 2025 ACCEF New Year Charity Gala earlier this year, it was a great chance for all the kids to perform on the stage. Overall, my family’s experience with Golden Dragon is pretty positive, I have another little one entering K grade Aug 2025, I’ll definitely enroll her in Golden Dragon After School program as well.
