The best way to spend a Saturday morning! It’s one of the smaller farmers markets in the city, but in my opinion, that’s what makes it so great. There’s a wide selection of locally grown produce, fresh flowers, and baked goods. This year they moved the vendors from the park to the street, which opened up a lot of space in the park for people to sit. It’s right next to the dog park too, so expect to see plenty of pups.

Saw my first parsnip, I really thought they were made up video game vegetables. Crazy, world-shattering even. Had to buy some pastries, fresh pasta, and mushrooms to cope.

Green City Market West Loop has various fruits, vegetables, flowers and hand made wares. Today's mission: fresh bread and farm raised meats. @bennisonscakes.com had what I was looking for. Scored sandwich chabbadah rolls, a seven grain baguette and a cheddar cheese loaf. all breads were crusty, chewy and delicious.
