I grew up in the neighborhood, and have eaten here as long as I can remember. The cheap, simple burgers are what its all about. I totally love Hamburger Stand, and this one is special to me as I have been going here for such a long time. I suggest the regular hamburger, fries, chili cheese fries, chili cheese burger, and chili cheese dog. This is simple, cheap, fast food, not a gourmet restaurant. For what they do, this place is great.

Love the food here, have been going since I was a kid. However after going later at night and seeing drugs being distributed on the property by staff I felt a bit hesitant upon ordering last time. Whoever served us was nodding off mid order making which caused it to take about 15 minutes for our food to be prepared despite being the only people in line. I understand it’s Colfax, but do better.

It's rare when you run into one of these places in the wild, seems like bad ol' "Corporate America" haven't found them all! Anyway, this place DOES show it's age with its bewildering store structure and limited eating room. But I think it's part of that charm nowadays. The food is as expected, nothing fancy, and the prices are still better than other fast food joints, so there is that. Good ice cream, though. That thing never breaks down.

I feel like they have great food at great prices. I would have given 5 stars, just based on that. I do believe however, that I was not only over charged on my last visit, but then shorted an ice cream cone that I literally just ordered face to face at the window, after we had to completely reorder our food there for some reason. Then I asked for the cone and when they gave it to me, I had to decline, as I had purchased a dipped cone and not a simple cone. So I had to ask for that too... Maybe overcharging me had confused him a bit... I feel I could have easily slam dunked their rating over some one person's overall performance being a total failure, but that wouldn't be very fair to their general awesomeness.
