TRULY SOME OF THE BEST SUSHI IN LA!!!! I was amazed when everything came out beautiful, fresh, tasty, creative, and utterly perfect. This place is a gem and I look forward to going back. Was excited to try Hanabi after the good reviews. For me, Hanabi was average and the food is not authentic Japanese. The chicken karage was not light, instead it tasted like frozen chicken with lots of of batter. The nigiri was hit or miss. The yellowtail had a fishy after taste. The unagi was deep fried and also had a fishy taste. The premium charashi bowl’s rice was better than the fish it came with.
