I was in the area and trying a new spot. I love the vibe for the open modern atmosphere/decor. Floor to ceiling window view. I was the only one dining in at 5:30/6:00 PM. And yet, it was lively. A constant flow of pickup orders and drive thru orders coming and going. I appreciate the personal assistance from server, Elvira, as it was my first time in and I prefer input when ordering off the menu. The person to person interaction is my personal preference when exploring a new place. Convenient self order screens if you have already predetermined your order. I ordered a mixed plate of Seasoned Vegetables,the Honolulu Chicken and a side of pineapple slices. The Honolulu Chicken is flavorful. It's a savory delight! The pineapple was refreshing and balanced the flavors nicely. The mix of vegetables were not my favorite combination and I would personally trade out the macaroni for more protein as I don't eat a lot of pasta. I would definitely order here again to try the other meat options, wrap, Hawaiian Sun drink or a Dole Soft Serve. 🙌🍍🌺🎉

There was a very helpful assistant when I walked in to help me with placing my order. It was my first visit to this newish location. She guided me through the menu options and handed me a paper menu. She also pointed out the associated items on the kiosk computer so I knew how to navigate the options.

The dish was good, veggies add flavor to the meal but the chicken could benefit from an extra day of marinating to really absorb the flavors. Also, while it was labeled as grilled, it tasted more like it had been sauteed. It would be great to capture the distinct aroma and charred flavor of truly grilled chicken next time. Update: Been back a couple times and service is still quite noticeably good & friendly. Got hosed on a takeout order today, though. Paid for a large, 2-meat plate, got the classic and didn’t notice until we got home. For the 50% premium, that’s disappointing. Food is otherwise tasty as usual and really, the classic is plenty of food. So, won’t be ordering large items any more. If they mess up, it is costly enough to be irritating, but really, it saves me from myself as the classic is more than adequate unless you’re training for a marathon or something. ————————- Good food with good vibes. Love a simple plate lunch - a protein with a scoop of rice and a scoop of mac salad. These guys do it very well - and with a smile. Zavion greeted us and gave us a quick intro to their food. His hard-working positivity amazed. He’s a refreshing contrast to the sullen entitlement so common in food service today. Even for a skeptical curmudgeon like me it made the restaurant feel welcoming and relaxed. The food is a step up from similar concept, Ono’s, and the service and welcoming environment is night and day. Definitely recommend for a tasty, casual bite.
