Good food! The ambiance is a fancy modern one, which I like. Lots of big windows so there was lots of light coming in. For starters, I really enjoy the cheddar biscuits with the whipped/soft honey butter - so yummy! Buffalo cauliflower was good too; they had a nice crisp to it, and the buffalo flavor was not overpowering. Gyozas were fine. I got the shrimp and avocado salad. The shrimp was cooked perfectly! I think you get about 5 or 6 good sized shrimps. The avocado was nice and soft. I got the chef's special soup, which was supposed to be a tomato shrimp soup, but it turned out to just be a minestrone haha Our server did a good job too - nothing amazing but got the job done. When I need some carbs, I will come back just for those cheddar biscuits!

This place has been on my list since the construction around the area was finally complete. I got it confused with Hills Kitchen. This place is slightly around the back with plenty of signage if you're paying attention. We had the blackened salmon sandwich, shrimp and grits with mimosas and their country potatoes. All of them were amazing, the shrimp ontop of my grits was probably some of the best I have ever had. Oh we also had the gruyere mac and cheese which was gone in a few minutes because of how good it was. Our server Bernie was the pique of friendly, timely and polite. That and the manager or chef? I wasn't sure. Checked in on us numerous times which made us feel very welcome. I would probably come back here for the service alone. The atmosphere was quiet, the place let's in light from almost all sides so it felt like you were sitting outside, minus all the heat. I hope this place remains a staple in dining for the sugar house area.

We had such a lovely experience—our server, Mac, was incredibly friendly, easygoing, and so charming. They made us feel right at home and handled our loud 7-top with total grace. The outdoor seating was exactly what we needed—plenty of shade, fresh air, and space to laugh and enjoy each other’s company. The food was amazing from start to finish. The biscuits were a standout: perfectly flaky with gorgeous layers. I had the salmon on the Refuel Salad, and it was cooked to perfection—crispy on the edges, tender inside, and seasoned just right. Every bite was delicious. Can’t wait to come back!

Two thumbs up, wayyyy up for Hearth and Hill in Sugar House! Food and Atmosphere are top notch. Crispy Pork Belly app melts in your mouth. Highly recommend! Since recently moving to SLC / Sugar House, I can say I’ve found one of “my places” in both Hearth and Hill and their younger sibling, Hill’s Kitchen—the fast casual coffee shop, bakery and restaurant next door. Highly recommend their pizza! As important as finding my place, is finding my people. At Hearth and Hill, ask for Mac and I guarantee you’ll enjoy attentive, engaging and friendly service. I’m certain they have other great servers, too—but Mac is my person, at my place. :) Furthermore, I appreciate the care restaurant leadership shows patrons. I want to do business with restaurant owners and managers who demonstrate that my patronage is valued. From Brooks the owner to Elizabeth the GM, H&H leadership not only create a welcoming restaurant with great food; they also set the standard for exceptional service, leading their outstanding team by example.

We went here for family date night and we were SO impressed! The service was spot on, the food was so good I nearly cried, the cocktails were on point, and they had a kids menu!! (We had to order a double portion of the steak for our kiddo, but he’s a fiend for a tasty steak) We are already planning our next trip to salt lake just to eat here!!!
