This place is amazing! The blending of smoke and fire is evident, thriving in their menu. Not overdone, subtly mixed in the right proportion to create unique and amazing flavors throughout the dining experience. The wait staff are well trained, working behind the scenes of diners as a well oiled machine, showing up when desired and allowing the meal to take place when not. Well done and highly recommend this place. The appetizers were creative and well executed, the halibut was out of this world and the pork chop was divine.

Absolutely amazing! We got a last minute reservation yet were still treated like long awated family. We sat on the patio and it was lovely! It seemed like the entire staff came to our table to greet us and check up on us. Very friendly without being overbearing. The food was absolutely fabulous! We ordered dessert and my ice cream was gifted so we ordered a second one. This was truly a 5 star experience.

The service at Hestia was amazing. It’s not often that my boyfriend and I go to a high end restaurant and necessarily feel at home, especially as POC. But Hestia did not disappoint. The staff were all extremely welcoming and chill which we honestly loved, one of the wait staff even dapped up my boyfriend before we left and he liked that 😂 one thing I did feel was lacking was the enthusiasm behind the explanation of the dishes we were served— I want to know the story behind the dish, what makes it special, what makes more than just food but rather an art? unfortunately, we were not able to try everything in the tasting menu due to dietary restrictions— the scallop dish has a gelatin component derived from pork and the lamb, though usually the pork can be taken out, was cooked in the fat on night we ate there (just our luck). We were told about the scallops beforehand and were okay with replacing one item, but we were not informed about how they cooked the lamb until we were already halfway through the courses. Had we known that, we wouldn’t have done the tasting menu. I was really looking forward to trying those dishes. However, the staff was accommodating and tried to replace those two dishes with something else off the a la carte menu and comped those items for us, which we appreciated. I’m not typically a fan of oysters but the ones at Hestia were really good. I also liked the Halibut but I will say, it was a tad heavy on the salt so I probably wouldn’t be able to eat it as a full size dish. The sourdough was a nice touch but I don’t think it should be included as one of the courses for the tasting menu because it was very filling and also it’s bread, which I’ve always seen typically served at the start of the dinner, but I do appreciate the art behind the sourdough and ingredients involved. It took about 2 hours to get through about 80% of the tasting menu before we realized we were going to be late for our next reservation so we had to rush the last couple of dishes and switch out the sorbet for a mesquite smores style cake to take to-go. They also gave us these mesquite cinnamon rolls and they were delicious to have the next morning with some coffee. I would 100% come back for the service and recommend Hestia to others to try at least once, but now I know to order from the a la carte menu considering our dietary restrictions and hopefully I’ll be more impressed with the food.

Had an absolutely wonderful meal for our anniversary. The staff took incredible care of us and even went so far as to have the whole staff sign a card for us that was ready at our table when we arrived. The pace of the meal was perfect, and the food was honestly a delight. Everything was balanced, fun, and full of flavor. The scallop is a bite I’ll be dreaming about for a while!

One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Been here 3 times and I still want to come back. Order the bunuelo, it’s a truly unique and delicious pairing of flavors and textures (the shell has almost a charcoal taste, but in a good way). The scallop and tart are also must tries. Love their small plates. Bread is great, butter is freshly made and flavorful. (If they bring the watermelon kakigori back onto the menu, I would not order it, unless you like artificial snow cones.)
