I’ve visited this auditorium for over 10 years now, experiencing various UMS performances ranging from visiting symphonies from around the world to solo artist. It’s a beautiful hall with a nice soundstage, regardless if you’re at the ground or balcony level. Parking is easy with multiple options (and reasonable, no price gouging…expect about $10). Getting in and out is easy too. The only negatives are the very long bathroom lines during intermissions and the snug seats. I’m 5’10” and 175…not a large guy, yet it’s a bit cramped (like sitting economy in an airplane). The staff is always helpful. The architecture of this building is a delight as well. Be sure to check out the top floor’s musical instrument gallery…it’s interesting. I’ve been to a lot of music venues around the world and let’s say it’s amount the best. And lastly, it’s nestled in the middle of the UoM Ann Arbor campus which is a delight to walk through and there are so many great eateries within a short walk for either pre or post performances. Two thumbs up.

Very nice environment. Well managed crowd control during a busy show. It was an enjoyable experience.

Hill Auditorium on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor school is the largest performance venue in the campus and is a lovely place to see events, musicals or award ceremonies. The auditorium was built in 1913 and still has old fashioned seating that has lost most of the cushion. The quality and comfort of the seats is my only complaint. The bathrooms were clean and parking was easy to find. I’d definitely return for another event however I’d make sure I had an outside seat to be able to get up and stretch my legs.

We have visited several times to watch the Life Sciences Orchestra and the Halloween show. Always a pleasure to visit such a beautiful venue. I love how central it is to everything, very easy to get to.

Saw Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit here. The acoustics really are amazing here for music and it was a great show. My only gripe is that the ‘no food or drink’ rule for a show like this kind of stinks. Alcohol aside, it would be nice if the venue sold or allowed bottles of water at least. Other than that, no complaints. Staff was friendly and helpful, finding our seats was easy.
