I stayed here a few years ago and let me be the first to tell you that this hotel is a hidden gem. My cousin and I were absolutely frazzled after our stay in Seattle so finding comfort here at the Hilton was god sent. Our rooms were pristine and we literally felt so safe here we ended up stay for a few nights to reset our chakras. Wonderful experience all around.

Update: I did return back for 1 week stay. This is my go to hotel now due to top notch service and location. I go to Portland every year and usually stay at another Hilton brand, Pearl District. It is an older property but the lobby is grand. Maintenance is doing a great job keeping all public areas well maintained. As expected, service from staff is top notch and the gold standard for all Hilton brands. Shout out to Samantha P., guest service. I had a complicated invoice due to the package I had and my Diamond perks. Samantha was patient and got with finance to sort out my invoice. Hire more Samantha's for your team! As I stayed longer, I was able to use more of the amenities. Restaurant. Hop City Tavern. Impressive setting, upscale atmosphere, outstanding staff, and probably the best breakfast in town. Hop City Market. Small convenience market that has all your essentials. It offers salads, sandwiches, candy bars, and a limited selection of pastries. There is a small museum highlighting Hilton's downtown location and history. Past review. I only stayed 1 night early this month but was impressed. So returning back next week for a week stay. Diamond member perks are better than your average Hilton. Parking is valet only which is similar other Portland downtown hotels. Service staff were top notch as expected with any Hilton.

My first not so good experience. The pillows had black marks on them, no trash bags in the bins, and the remote control was so dirty. Cleaned with Lysol wipes. Then the issue came with the shower, which wasn’t draining. I had to stick my fingers in the drain to try and fix it. On 6/16, maintenance was fixing something across my room in the ice machine room, making really loud noises for several hours. Lastly, the AC was on at 68 and still didn’t feel cool. Turns out the AC was randomly blowing warm and cool air. A bad experience but wasn’t a big deal for 2 days. I just can’t believe this happened at a Hilton. I recommend the Curio Porter hotel just a few blocks away. Front desk was very friendly.

Good location for walking around the city. Amenities were not great. Fridge didn’t work. No microwave in room. They said they could bring one up for $10. Yikes. The streaming app service on the TV was also down they said. For the price I definitely think the service was not great. Will not return.

Carter was very helpful with checking in. Very friendly and informative. Rooms were very clean, however I did find a sock from a previous guest in one of the beds. Walking distance to the Timbers stadium and the rest of downtown. Will stay again in the future.
