Amazing place! It only has 8 tables and sushi bar seating, so the atmosphere is quite intimate. Interrior design is simple yet so beautiful and memorable, just like the dishes they serve. Hiyakawa offers both a la carte and tasting menus. We went with the tasting menu and experienced all types of dishes they offer. The presentation is wonderful as well.

Service was quick and very friendly. Started off great right out of the gate. Sushi was delicious and offered some unique fish selections. If you’re an uni lover make sure you get the Japanese one in the salt water, amazing. Had to order a few rounds of uni. I also like the transition to wagyu beef and lamb chops after a great selection of sushi. The overall experience was great and would recommend to any sushi lover. Cheers.

Just had an amazing dinner experience at this Japanese restaurant with my wife. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the nigiri which was incredible! The service was exceptional too. Miguel and our initial server gave us some excellent recommendations. It's worth noting that the prices are on the higher side, but definitely worth it for the quality and service we received. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a great setting!

***2025 UPDATE*** This place keep being 100/10.... ***** Outstanding service. Long list of wines and sakes. Japan has arrived in Miami. You can tell these guys know what they are doing. I highly recommend the oh-toro Tamaki with pickles (the best Tamaki i have ever tasted since I was in Tokyo). They have a seasonal menu that is very fresh. The whole evening was expensive but it's 100% worth it. I'll definitely go back again with a smile on my face.

The omakase experience at Hiyakawa was pure bliss. Each piece of sushi was a true work of art, crafted with incredible attention to detail. We also complemented our omakase with a few additional dishes, including the wagyu katsu, which was absolutely incredible. The interior was stunning, with tranquil vibes that made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The staff was accommodating, and attentive. This was truly one of the best authentic sushi omakase experiences in Miami—I can’t recommend it enough!
