We had a flavorful experience at The House of Gorges! Tried the Fresh Pepper Jumping Fish, which was tender and packed with bold, peppery heat which was definitely a standout. The Cumin Lamb was fragrant with just the right amount of spice, while the Mala Chicken brought that addictive numbing kick without overwhelming the palate. The Beef with Green Onion was comforting, juicy and well balanced. I love beef! The Fish Fillet Hotpot came bubbling and aromatic, loaded with flavor. Fried rice was simple but a nice base to balance the mains. A great spot if you’re into spicy Sichuan flavors!

We absolutely loved our meal at House of Three Gorges. I definitely recommend trying multiple dishes because it's fun to share and the food is amazing! Everything that we ate was delicious. The dried green beans were probably the star of the show - perfectly cooked and with incredible spices. The Szechuan flavor was strong with all of the dishes. I don't think I had ever experiences the tingling sensation before- like my tongue was a little tingly with a nice subtle amount of heat. The dry pot cauliflower was also incredibly tasty, along with the jumping fish. The mapo tofu was a fun dish, but not my favorite. We'll definitely be back! And I recommend you stopping next door for some bubble tea as a sweet treat to top it off!

Such delicious food. Here’s what you MUST order: jumping fish + cumin beef. Honorable mentions are the salt and pepper pork, wonton soup, and egg plant. Oh and the fried rice is great. You can’t go wrong everything is good. Restaurant is always busy so save a few minutes to wait in line. Owners are really nice. Service is wonderful. A proper Chinese restaurant that Austin really needed.
