If ur Chinese or Asian or just a person of color in general, please do not condone this crusty place run by people who actively make fun of and discriminate against people of color!! As I played here throughout my childhood and up until now, the coaches would refuse to call me by my actual name and referred to me and my friends as “China” instead (spoiler: none of us were even fully Chinese 💀) BUT it goes to show how vile these excuses of human beings are that like to justify their inhumane behavior 😁😁😁

Great indoor tennis facility tucked away on the north side of Ann Arbor. Courts are well kept and climate is comfortable. With a staff of in-house tennis pros they offer programs and leagues for both junior development and adult play. There's also a small shop with some racquets, accessories, and apparel. Overall a great place to play whether you're an experienced player or trying to learn. They've also done a great job about keeping social distancing and masks in the common areas.

I am very disturbed by what happened to my daughter at this tennis club when she participated in a group class last Friday, as well as the initial reaction of the club manager. The coach dehumanized two girls by not calling their names but the names of assumed country of heritage (which was a wrong assumption at the first place). Later the coach attempted to defend his actions by stating that the girls were being disrespectful by checking their phones as a form of "justification" for his behavior. I was utterly appalled and disgusted by such behavior and was extremely disappointed by the initial reaction of the club manager, who tried to excuse the coach all over the place. There are definitely better places around Ann Arbor for minorities and minors to practice tennis without being treated like this.

Funny how all the reviews talk about the coaches and course but nothing about the front desk. So here's my personal experience for the past years. The coaches are awesome but the staffs at the front desk is different story. Register through phone is near impossible because they just don't pick up the phone or better yet they just hang up without saying anything or put you on hold. Bout the time they answered the class is already full. Very low efficiency. It's time to change your system.
