I took my parents and my husband for a 2 hour session of glassblowing, and we had the time of our lives!!! We were all able to make a drinking glass with various colors and patterns. Our instructor, Jack, was absolutely incredible. He was patient, kind, informative, funny, and helped us make such beautiful creations. He let us be a part of every step of the process, while also taking the wheel when necessary to make sure we came out of it with a usable product. We learned so much, and we all fell in love with the art of glassblowing! Jack even stayed late after our session and showed us around the gallery of spectacular glass art and answered many more of our questions. My husband and I are already talking about when we can come back. A HUGE thank you to Jack for making this night so special for us!!

I recently attended a Hot Shop workshop with the Richard Stromberg's Chicago Photography Classes at Ignite Glass. The facility is gorgeous/interesting - and the artists were incredibly welcoming, eager to teach and allow us to take photographs. Their skill is amazing; the pieces they produce are incredible. For anyone interested in learning about/trying glass blowing - I highly recommend Ignite Glass Studios.

We had a great experience doing a private lesson with Joe! He was super knowledgeable and passionate about glass blowing. We made a bowl, a drinking glass and a cocktail glass (all made 1 item each). We had about 30 mins each to make a single piece and it was a fun thing to do together! Parking is easy which is never the case in Chicago. I’d love to go back for a continuous weekly course or an ornament class around the holidays-I highly recommend this spot!

We signed up for glass blowing with Jack. We had an amazing experience making bowls, a tumbler and stemless wine glass. He was a great instructor and made everyone feel capable and confident despite the initial fears of being near molten glass! Thanks for a great day!

My husband and I chose Ignite as the venue for our June 2024 wedding. We loved the option to use all the indoor and outdoor spaces. Genevieve and her team were wonderful to work with. They were very responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. The wall of colorful blown glass was a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. The courtyard was also enjoyed by guests during the reception. We would definitely recommend Ignite as a wedding or event venue!
