Knocked it out of the park! Flavors were perfect, nothing bland, just deliciousness! Made it there during Happy Hour, 1/2 off appetizers, even better! TJ was great as server, available but never intrusive, Adam offered fun suggestions for my next trip to Austin, I found my new favorite. 100%!

Amazing food and vibe! Service was phenomenal! The bourbon apple crisp was the best I’ve ever had. I told my wife that for my next birthday we were going to drive from Houston to Austin to eat here.

We were here to celebrate hubby’s birthday. One of us being vegetarian, our choices were slim but the server Bryan was great! He suggested what to go with and even brought a sample of the appetizer that we had first shortlisted. When the dinner was done, we were debatinf whether to go with dessert as we were so full but he came and almost whispered ‘but you guys are celebrating’ and insisted on the dessert which was complimentary. For a vegetarian starter the spinach ravioli is 👍🏼

Best experience we’ve had in Austin so far! We are visiting from Louisiana and we wanted a relaxing dinner on our 3rd night here. The food was delicious. Our waiter was extremely friendly. Said he was new and from New Mexico and couldn’t have asked for better service. The vibe is chill and inviting but still busy and fun. Would definitely come back!!!

We can always count on Jack Allen’s to provide the experience and food we are craving. This is a lovely space, with a variety of seating types (booth, high top by bar, square table, outdoor/screened porch seating), and the waitstaff is friendly and welcoming. I’ve never ordered anything here I didn’t love, but this time I was there for the terrific happy hour — $1 off drinks and half price appetizers! We got beers from their choice of local taps and after enjoying the taste of pimiento cheese and crackers they bring every table, we dug in on the appetizers. The Smashed Guacamole is a MUST, the best in the city, and we added the Crunchy Catfish and Slaw and the Barbacoa Stackers. YUM. This filled us up, but we couldn’t resist a takeout order of Apple Cobbler. Every single bite we had at Jack Allen’s was outstanding!
