This review is about the Safe Parking Program for homeless people as administered at the site in Vista, based on my observation. If i could give this program zero stars, I would. At the end of February 2025, a new, unvetted program was enacted. It is cruel, demoralizing, and the directors rigidly one-sided. While a couple of their case workers try to be kind, these people want to keep their jobs. JFS treat their clients like bad employees or naughty children - with suspicion, distrust, and punishment. They pry into privste matters, and usurp the client's right to self-determination (definition of slavery) in order to stay in the program. They don't care about an individual's circumstances entering the program (health, resources) nor those which occur during their stay. They offer no support in those areas. Their clients are given 60 days to perform what they couldn't do already, and few tools or opportunities to do that, extendable in 30-day increments. Then the client is out if they don't meet vague but stringent requirements based on distrust and restriction of options, made up by the directors as they go along. To comply means providing inttusive and exhausting verifications. To provide these, it has been suggested that clients 'fake apply" for services, jobs, and housing, even if it won't work for the person. If a person can't provide the verifications, that person is hsnded down a judgment. The person has no right to self-representation, self-advocacy, or appeal. It's all based on hearsay reported by employees, never the person whose fate is in their hands. Meetings for the client "in trouble" are always 2 on 1 - unfair from the get-go. Such meetings require the person to defend their life against threatening disapproval. The already traumatized and often abused homeless person is furthrr abused by the program. Most people there already have a horrible history of abuse. How is that supposed to help? What they provide is deeply lacking, and then the blame for that is placed on the homeless person for not succeeding. Instead of support, understanding, and compassion, the client encounters judgment, inappropriate blame, and an extension of society's rejection of the person because they suffered enough to be pushed onto the streets. There is zero accountability for the JFS staff and directors. They say that every American is only 2 steps away from homelessness. This program perpetuates and worsens the problems fscing each individual. It kicks people back on the streets with ruthless heartlessness. The client leaves feeling far worse thsn when they entered. I wonder how many have died in despair from the experience? The program is a huge FAIL in the worst way.

Worst place ever. They don't ever get back to you when you call or try to contact your assigned worker. I was told my 30 day notice would be more then enough time to take care of the first months rent and security deposit and my worker never got back to me, so now I miss my move in date and end up homeless because people here can't do their job. don't recommend

Discrimination is real. They wouldn't help me because I wasn't Jewish or because I wasn't working with a Jewish company. I live in my car and I'm sober and I'm employed but I just needed help with my insurance and registration this month because it is about to expire. No I'm not looking for a handout but I need a little bit of help. Oh well now I'm going to lose my job probably and most likely if I get pulled over I'm going to lose my car I struggled so hard to get where I'm at and no one wants to help me. Even though I'm watching people all around me receive all kinds of help. Is it because I'm white because that's what it seems like
