This place is a dream. Came here with family on Memorial Day Sunday. Parked on the street for free, there was only about 20 people in the stands/bar but I’m surprised the place wasn’t packed! We watched 2 games and my niece and nephew got to chat with some local players. We drank beers in the bleachers and had a great time. So stoked this place is accessible having an elevator from ground level up to the bleachers! This place is top of my list when I come back to Chicago! I love the welcoming local hockey vibe.

Parking is a bit odd since there is one way in one way out. 2 bucks for parking cheaper than the street I guess. The rink is a bit dated and has that old hockey vibe to it which is neat. Haven't tried the food yet but def want to. Seating is small and tight so get comfortable with the other parents since u will be compacted in. It is elevated seating so that's neat u can see the whole rink. Locker rooms are small but do have the pushed in lockers to hang ur stuff in and lock ur keys in a box. Nice rink overall but is dated.

Johnny’s Ice House - East is acommunity ice skating rink with a major hockey reputation. Never played here but get to visit once and a while. Spectators get to view the action from above. Therese even a local bar in the upstairs corner. Just enough room for an ice rink and place to watch. Downstairs is parking what a perk for the downtown Chicago location. When your done at Johnny’s ice house take a short walk to Palace grill.
