Maca and Dave were amazing in answering any of my questions and were very flexible with my busy schedule. I'm so glad I chose Kung Fu Divers for my scuba journey! I just completed my Open Water Certification, and will be returning as much as I can for their Diver Drills and other certs as I'm ready for them. From the moment I typed into the chat box on the website, Maca has been quick and detailed in all communications, and Dave the in water instructor is incredibly informative and safety conscious. Their passion and experience really shows and they have answers for any questions! They really make sure nothing slips through the cracks on your education and were incredibly thorough in scouting out every factor for our open water dives- which could be cold around Chicago in June- but with their recommendations and rental choices I was truly delighted at how comfortable the water felt (as a frequently cold person also!). I really appreciated that as small operators, just the two of them, you get a lot of attention as a student and they can be really flexible with scheduling which was a life saver for me. Dave also gave me a lot of tips and guidance on equalizing my ears, which was a struggle for me at the beginning but I feel a good mastery of now. From buoyancy to breathing, they have insights and can help you as a new diver understand and make steps towards optimizing it all! I started this journey to be able to dive with my best friend who got certified in Indiana, and as I gave her updates she's been more impressed with my experience and hopes to come join me to work with Kung Fu Divers in the future. I don't think you can beat Kung Fu divers on attention to detail and quality in your scuba education!
