Saw a guy spit in there today. A women walked over and handed him a sanitizing wipe for him to clean it up. I asked her why she didn’t tell the staff. She said the staff don’t care, the trainers don’t even have their clients wipe down the equipment after they’ve left sweat all over the machines. The place is crowded and often smells awful. Machines are always broken. Weights are never put back and are impossible to find. Management doesn’t seem to care. If they set the standard even a little higher maybe the patrons would treat the place better? I only go because the location is perfect for me.

I go to LA fitness, it wasn’t my choice, my previous gym (XSport) was bought there. I have one problem and I don't know how to solve it. I can't fully train because there are no light dumbbells in the general area, there are from 5 lb and only 2 pairs and often used by others. The light dumbbells in a special area for training with a trainer and I can't use them. So is this manipulation, an ulterior motive to make me pay for this area? What am I paying for if I can't train?

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and nice large sized gym with tons of equipment, and it all pretty much gets used up. Some equipment has older padding that should get replaced as well as some equipment that looks downright antediluvian. Also lots of machines frequently out of order. Corporate needs to get better and replacing, updating, and maintaining equipment. Also maybe a friendly chalkboard at the entrance to remind people to use deodorant, it downright smells like rotting onion by some gym goers, worse than smoking in a restaurant imo.

The gym itself can get very busy and crowded at peak times but the areas are clean, the machines are always functional, and the locker rooms and sauna are nice My favorite part has to be the trainer Rose, I paid for just a few sessions to get into strength training at a very beginner level since I had no idea what I was doing and honestly get bored with it but she has kept me coming back for 6 months! She’s energetic, sociable, knowledgeable, and keeps things interesting. She changes up the workouts enough that I don’t get bored and teaches me enough to be able to use the information on my own as well!

I’ve been going to the gym for several months now and during the weekdays it’s pretty chill but later in the evening and during the weekend it can be very crowded but I’ve never had to wait for equipment. Parking is free. The bottom lot is often full so I drive up and park in the top lot. The locker rooms and gym are always clean, everyone is always really polite and friendly, or is just focused on themselves. I enjoy going to the yoga and Zumba classes all the instructors are very knowledgeable and kind and have different styles. I use the sauna every time which can be crowded sometimes but it’s worth it. I saw some users complaining about access to dumbbells and there are plenty you just have to walk to the back room and get some as there are only a couple in front because there is really no space up front to use them. I grab some from the back and then I strength train in the group fitness room. There are some locked dumbbells in that room but they are locked because they are for the classes exclusively. I haven’t been in the pool but I’d like to try it. There is also a protein shake bar. No prices are listed though.
