My heartfelt yoga review – the practice I truly fell in love with 🌿🧘‍♀️ I just want to say how deeply grateful I am to our amazing instructors and for the atmosphere you’ve created in class. Every session is more than just physical practice — it’s a moment of stillness, inner strength, and connection with myself. ⠀ Your energy, care, support, and deep presence inspire me to keep coming back to the mat. Thanks to you, I’m learning discipline and consistency, I’m becoming more attuned to my body, and at the same time, softer and kinder to myself. ⠀ This is truly my favorite yoga practice, and I don’t say that lightly. It’s not just about movement — it’s a space of love, strength, and acceptance, where I feel free to be myself. ⠀ Thank you for this gift 🌸 With love and gratitude 💛

The Garage Chicago is so anti-community, it was clearly born and bred in a dystopian suburb of other narrow-minded souls. They pride themselves on being visibly and audibly accessible (clear glass garage style doors showing off high-quality workout equipment and facilities, blaring loud music for the block to hear at early hours, yelling weird chants, running up and down the streets and sidewalks) WHILE remaining financially and socially inaccessible to most or many in and around the community. These classes are wildly expensive and catered only to health-literate, financially successful individuals. What’s the problem with that, you ask? Well, these classes rarely take place IN the facility designated (you know, the building they purchased and own). Instead, they continually force their neighbors to be apart of their “adult gym class” by running in the streets with no regard for traffic and taking up the sidewalks to stretch and throw balls. Nearly every morning, they open their garage-style doors so that members can workout on the sidewalks and in their courtyard and still hear the music and shouting voices of the coaches. This is soliciting. This is not a run club, or a marathon training group, or a neighborhood walking tour. This is an expensive, private establishment that refuses to stay on their private property. To the owners and leadership of The Garage: If you hate this community as much as you clearly do, please take your business elsewhere. This establishment sticks out like a sore thumb around here. You come across as better-than, anti-community, out of touch, and ignorant. None of that likely matters to you, so just know that while you are subjecting the general public to gape and gawk at these most elite, most fit and active people, they are wishing and wondering why they can’t look that good or feel that strong. They are wondering what amount of money could get them the happiness and beauty and stability they deserve. All you have to do is keep your private establishment on private property. Why is that so difficult?

I wouldn’t recommend this place. Ever. This place has fast paced, high intensity, circuit workouts. Their instructors push individuals past their capacity with little regard to client boundaries or proper form, rather emphasizing how much weight you can add and speed. This led to a significant and costly injury for me when I came (once) that I still struggle with years later. I would recommend being mindful and respecting clients fitness journeys / boundaries, rather than pushing them past their limitations and ultimately causing injuries (possibly long term).
