I first heard about this place from a coworker when I was living in LA. She said La Loupe was one of her fav vintage shops in SoCal. So when I moved back home to SD about 10 years ago, I started coming to La Loupe regularly. I almost always find something cute in here, and can never leave empty handed! Love that they have discounts sometimes too. I’ll never stop coming to La Loupe - oh and I have to mention how sweet the employees are. Brandi the owner is super cool (I met her MANY years ago when she had a booth at Desert Daze or Moon Block Party, can’t remember now!) and everyone who works here is SUPER nice and they always make me feel welcome. I’m always torn on this place. I think they do have a lot of great, hip, stylish items. But often overpriced. Even the “sale rack” outside surprises me sometimes. Just because a plain blue tshirt is from 1992 doesn’t mean it’s worth more than $10. Definitely fun to window shop. But I think the pricing is often a stretch.
