Beautiful lake that winds down into a waterfall ( see pic). Opportunities for fishing, kayaking, biking, etc. There is a place that rents bikes here. It also has a nice paved trail alongside the creek best for hiking and biking. There are access points to get to the creek. Trail goes through many tunnel bridges. One trail path leads to Raleigh Farmers Market as well.

Located on the NC State Centennial Campus, this is one of my to-go places to see a beautiful sunset. This lake neither too small, nor too large. The trail is good for an evening walk or run. The trail does connect to your the downtown trails if you keep going. The lake is perfect for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, etc. I just love sitting on the pier with my feet in the water. Parking - After 5pm, parking is free on street or next to the lake (only 6-8 spots).

Good little lake for fishing on the bank or in a kayak, canoe, or small boat. There are two fishing docks and a small place to picnic. Parking is very limited.

Super convenient, easy access to walking trails and in the middle of the city. Lake Raleigh, on NC State campus is a great place to fish or drop your paddle board or kayak in. Fishing docks and boat launch make this an easy outdoor access for all the lake fun. No motors however- the horsepower comes from you.
