This is a holy place. Like most holy places around the world it's routinely desecrated by teenagers blasting loud music and smoking blunts. At least, that's the idiom of 2021. But that doesn't mean it's not holy. And there's a reason that those young folks are attracted to a place like this. This is gorgeous. Simply put, this is one of the most beautiful views that you can see in the entire United states. Laid out before you is the beautiful red roofs of the city of boulder, with the buildings of the University poking up through the forest that's been planted by the citizens. Valmont power station sits in front of you like some kind of Pink Floyd album cover, and the entire front range of the Rocky mountains lines up in a procession, standing shoulder to shoulder so that you can take a look and observe their formation. I can confirm they are in good form.

This is quite a pretty view although you can also see the Boulder power plant and their lakes that are fenced off, If you go around to the left there is a trail that walks down and is quite pretty it is maybe a .3 mile loop and then you walk a Steep trail back up to the parking lot. A unique view of the mountains but definitely not a world-class park.
