I’ve been a member at this gym, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. First and most seriously, my belongings were stolen from the parking lot, and I received little to no support from management in addressing the situation. Security and member safety clearly aren’t a priority here. Additionally, the sauna has been out of order for weeks (if not months) with no real communication or timeline for repair. One of the main reasons I joined this gym was for the full amenities — it’s frustrating to pay for services that aren’t delivered

first off, i want to highlight my experience with Toni, one of the personal trainers. i came in and he was doing a 1 minute plank = 5 minutes of stretching session. max 3 minutes. he displayed professionalism throughout my session with him. i can tell he is passionate about his job. i’ve been a member at life time in the past in another state and had a great experience. this location is just as good, if not better. staff are friendly and helpful and the gym has a lot of amenities. the weight room can get packed during peak hours but they are closed until midnight which is nice for anyone who chooses to workout late. they have towels, shampoo, mouth wash, hair spray, hair dryers, shaving cream and razors, and deodorant in the locker rooms. the price is definitely worth it if you use the amenities.

We have been members of this gym almost 5 years! Our children love the kids classes and activities. For families with little kids, there are indoor/outdoor zero entry pools and the swim staff are very attentive to my children in the pool. Facilities are always clean! General manager is so friendly and approachable. Front desk staff and kids academy staff are also incredible. Highly recommend this gym. I love working out knowing my kids are having fun in their classes at the same time!

Overall a really solid gym. Really spacious and has all the equipment you need. Love that there’s also a hot tub here which the Cary location lacks. However the pickleball programming has a lot of issues that need fixing. I’m not a fan of how close the walls are to the baseline of the courts. It’s makes it pretty difficult to return against a strong server, but I don’t think anything can be done to fix that now. They seriously need to add more DUPR mandatory sessions here. The entire schedule is just casual open plays and there’s no organized opportunities to play competitive DUPR games. I came to a couple of DUPR ratings clinics a few months ago and none of the games ever got logged which was really frustrating, and I never got an explanation why. I’m one of many people who feel the same way, so I really hope they fix that soon. It would also be nice to see more singles sessions on the lifetime app instead of just doubles. They also need to do a better job of responding to members’ feedback. I’ve emailed lifetime numerous times to inquire about DUPR sessions and I’ve never gotten a response. If you’re not purchasing a personal training session or paying for a league or adding to their revenue, lifetime doesn’t care about you

I’ve been a member of Lifetime Fitness for five years, and it has consistently been a great experience. One of the things I love most is the check-in process at the front desk, ensuring that only members have access to the facility. The cleanliness of the locker rooms and all areas of the gym is impressive, making every visit comfortable and enjoyable. The locker rooms are well-stocked with towels and essentials, providing everything you need to freshen up—just like at home. I also appreciate the layout of the gym, with the workout area located upstairs, offering plenty of space for members. Whether you prefer to work out in the main area or in a separate room with weights, there are great options for everyone. Another standout feature is the indoor and outdoor pools, which have ample room for members to swim and relax without feeling crowded. Lifetime Fitness truly prioritizes cleanliness, convenience, and a well-organized workout environment, which is why I continue to be a loyal member.

What challenges should groups be aware of when planning a meetup at Life Time?

While Life Time offers an outstanding facility for group gatherings, there are some challenges that groups should consider in planning visits. Membership fees are typically on the higher end, reflecting the club’s premium amenities and extensive services, which might be a barrier for some groups seeking affordable options. Another consideration is that some locations, especially in urban centers, may have limited or inconvenient parking, which could affect members’ ease of access depending on timing and local events. Certain reviews have mentioned busy periods leading to overcrowded workout spaces or scheduling conflicts in popular classes, possibly making it harder for large groups to stay together or find class spots. Additionally, some users have noted occasional inconsistencies in customer service, though overall staff friendliness is widely praised. Groups interested in serious athletic training may find that Life Time leans more toward general fitness and wellness rather than niche high-intensity regimes. Awareness of these factors can help groups plan their meetup timing and expectations for a smoother experience.

How does the staff contribute to a positive group experience at Life Time?

The staff at Life Time plays a crucial role in creating a positive, welcoming atmosphere that enhances the group meetup experience. Numerous members highlight how attentive, courteous, and friendly the staff are, describing them as genuinely helpful and approachable. From the moment of arrival, staff often recognize regular members and provide personal greetings, which fosters a sense of community and belonging. Instructors are noted not only for their skill but also for their motivational and supportive approach, encouraging participation and making all fitness levels feel valued. This positive staff interaction reduces intimidation that some might feel at a gym, making Life Time a place where groups, especially those with mixed experience levels, can feel comfortable and supported. The front desk, cleaning crews, and wellness professionals’ commitment to maintaining excellent service and cleanliness further contributes to an inviting environment. By nurturing these social and operational qualities, Life Time’s team helps transform meetups into enjoyable and rewarding gatherings.
