I’m so grateful to have this pool nearby. It’s clean and still fairly newly rebuilt. The staff are all nice. The changing rooms are soaking wet by the end of the day when I usually swim they don’t seem to drain well. But the open air showers are clean and warm.

June 2023 update: Another summer and things got better. We use the pool without being harassed as much. The pool is very convenient because it is close to my house and we like that it is open during winter and it is heated. The water sometimes tastes salty compared to other pools but we like the pool because it's close to our house. The asian older woman at the front desk always gives me a hard time. I thought my younger son can move up to a next level so I signed my boys for classes in person and online, one preschool aquatics and the other water confidence. When I arrived Monday, she said my younger son can't be there. I said ok, I'd like them to be together, but ok, I'll call the other pool to see if he passed his lesson. If he didn't it's ok, he's signed for the preschool class. She immediately went to a manager woman who called me over like I was some dog, taking me away from my sons who are in the water, talking to me from her lifeguard position up a ladder, yelling, that my younger son can't be in that class. I said ok, she gave me such an evil stare as I walked away, maybe to make sure I do as I'm told, it was weird. These women talk to me like I'm some kid demanding and giving me dirty looks. Maybe they were promoted and they feel entitled I don't know. It turned out my younger son didn't pass his preschool aquatics and as I went to his next lesson, the asian woman again gave me a hard time. Small insults that start drama, such as I told her he's on the list for the class and she said with attitude: "Yes, that's because I signed him up for you!" I told her "you didn't have to he's already registered online" and she argues saying: "No, you don't! I did it for you!" so I say ok, I don't want to argue with the woman. What do you do when someone talks to you like that. Then she insists I show her proof because she doesn't believe me so I show her the receipt. I feel she wants to prove she's right and I'm wrong. Other parents watching this said these women do the same to them and I should complain to Sylvia - their boss. Then there is this supervisor guy Ivan Rodriguez who's always there doing laps instead of work stopping once in a while to give orders to little children like he's the big policeman telling some they can't be in the water while others can. Or he sees me parked in front of some orange cones the covid people put up to block traffic, some spot I saw many other parents stop there, including an older gentleman who always waits for his wife there, and as I'm watching my older son go to his class, this supervisor comes to my window and starts a long spiel telling me I should not be parked there if I don't plan on being in my car because it's not a parking spot. After I say ok I know it's not a parking spot and I would never leave my car there illegally he's still hanging around my window insisting for many minutes, being the parking policeman. Or he sees me walkin around the pool with my sons and yells "here comes another one!" stopping us saying we can't be there assuming I'm breaking the law and my older son is under age. All this in just the first couple days we were there. The kids are terrified of these three folks. In short, constant discrimination to the point of harassment while others doing the same exact things don't get bothered at all. The only reason I went back is it's close to home, my older son likes his swim class and the rest of the young people working there are ok folks.

First of all to start off this pool has some very strange rules. My husband and I took our 9 yo here for a swim in the afternoon and I was shocked at the fact that only because I wasn't going to get inside the pool for a swim I wasn't able to be inside the facility at all. Made no sense as I've visited other public pools and they have bleachers and benches for parents/families who aren't going inside the pool to watch their kids. I was allowed to come in and help my son change and spray him with sunscreen, but after that I was asked to step out since I wasn't "using" the facility. To top it off the staff was rude which made it more ridiculous, I don't understand the concept of not being able to sit inside just because I'm not swimming . Will not be coming back here again, thankfully my husband was able to stay inside with our son because it would've made the whole situation worst. As far as pricing every public pool I've visited has the same pricing as this one but I truly disliked the idea of not being able to be inside while my family goes for a swim and having to leave. Pool size for kids/families was small , rows for the single swimmers they had a few of those but definitely won't be coming back here. I'd rather take the drive and visit my go to Roosevelt pool, staff is much friendlier, bigger pool area and if you're swimming or not you're still able to come inside the facility !
