Lone Star Stables became my home away from home during my time there. Christy has built a wonderful place for adults and children to grow in the horse world. Facilities and horses are well cared for. Tucked in a quiet location in busy Austin, I loved how quickly I could escape the busy parts of Austin to enjoy my passion, horses. Katherine Woodward is an amazing horsewoman and instructor who knew just how to support my riding journey. I grew a lot under her keen eye and cannot thank her enough for al her support during our short two years in Austin. I have since moved away from Austin but still keep in touch with friends I found through Lone Star Stables. I still send videos to Katherine and ask her for advice within the horse world. Miss everyone so much and can't wait to visit!

Camps are nice if you can get into them. My kids enjoyed them and learned a little about horses. 2 stars for the camps. Lessons are another story. When I inquired, they responded once telling me they had a waiting list, after that could not get them to respond to calls or emails when I had further questions about the lessons and wait list (how long it was, could they put my name on it, etc). I presume they don't need /want my business so we went elsewhere for lessons.
