We had a blast at the ranch, we were received by Dan! Very friendly, showed us around, talked with us, then we went horse back riding with Ariel! It was a great time, she is very welcoming and sympathetic and friendly. I had Yetti as my horse and I just wanted to take him home with me, sweet horse. We also did archery and throwing knives.

Our firm recently visited Lone Star Ranch for a 45-minute trail ride as one of our team-building activities for our annual retreat. The staff at Lone Star Ranch were incredibly communicative and supportive throughout the entire booking and horseback riding processes. Some folks in our group were a bit nervous going into the ride, as most of us had little to no riding experience. However, the staff made sure to ease any anxieties with thorough explanations and thoughtful pairings of horses and riders. Major shout-out to Kelsey, Dan, Jennifer, and all of the other staff members who helped our team have such a fun and pleasant first riding experience!

We had a wonderful experience at Lone Star Ranch! They’re organized which only helped us feel more confident as inexperienced riders. The grounds were very clean and the horses looked well loved and cared for. Our wrangler Jordan was patient and kind with us as we all have only been on a horse maybe twice. She gave clear instructions for riding and was reassuring with helping to guide our horses. The trail ride was so beautiful and we got to see a variety of landscapes from meadows, cacti, and we even rode through a few streams. I highly recommend them and would go again.

Lone Star Ranch is Amazing! I just went for a trail ride and it was an absolutely beautiful experience. I came in as a single rider that got placed with a group and had a blast. Our wranglers gave us time to get to know our horses and told us a little bit about them before we went out on the trails and, I can't stress this enough, it was beautiful!!! We got to ride for an hour and 30 minutes on the property and even got to cross a creek and see some really cool wildlife. We paused for a moment on the trails as we watched a great horned owl fly into the tree tops above us! The wildflowers and cactus are in bloom right now and speckled the trails with bright shades of crimson, yellow, and violet. There were so many different species of butterflies fluttering about while we were riding through the open pasture area. The trail ride is a great for beginner riders with no experience and even as an experienced rider, I never had a dull moment on the trail. If you are looking for something fun to do this summer, this place has incredible hospitality, horses, and scenery to take in!

I read a review saying don’t go if you’re a new rider, I couldn’t disagree more! We had an incredible time today, my husband and I both new riders, our first time riding for a special occasion. Our group was a mix of confident and new riders. We took the 1.5 hour trail. I was somewhat nervous and my horse was a little stubborn to begin with and not the easiest to dismount, (he is a rescue horse from an abusive previous owner, and could probably sense my anxiety.) Alex helped me feel super comfortable, guiding the horse to a certain point and then letting me take over. It became one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! My horse was really chill on the trail once he was going. It was such a relaxing, scenic, beautiful experience! The cats and goat on the property are a definite plus! Lol
