Great local hike to get outside and be in nature. The main hike is half a mile to the top and 500 ft in elevation change. Beautiful 360 view all around from the top. Plenty of little trails around the mountain if you’re not looking to summit. Took me 10 minutes to the top of the mountain from parking lot going my fastest pace.

Imho, Lookout the best mountain range in Phoenix by far. I'm from the UK and from certain angles it reminds me of the [UK] Lakes and even Highlands (save the cactus)! Best thing is the variation: I've lived in the foothills of Lookout for near 4 years, hiked countless times and STILL get caught out on route oddities that I'd either forgotten or never been on. As relaxed or as a treacherous as you like.
