Do NOT go here. Complete waste of time. I went there 3xs to give the info needed to the and get the calfresh accepted. The 3rd time I was there for over 4 hours and the last one there when there was no reason to Not be able to approve the calfresh on top of taking that long. I was waiting by 6pm after they closed with a woman mopping and finally broke down crying. No one cared there… they told me they talked w the supervisor and they would take care of it first thing tomorrow and call me when it was completed with money on my card but as expected they never did and I STILL have ZERO on the card. I have never been made more to feel so insignificant as a person to be considered or cared for. This is the worst most careless office with people who are so entirely horrible at their jobs, inefficient in how they run the office, and slow. It’s an embarrassment to the government. I’m going to another office to cancel the application and start a new one from how much they messed this current one up.

We never have had to wait too long. The workers are knowledgeable and efficient. Helped us several times. 5 star review.

the offices were empty I guess because now you need an appt. not enough employees to handle the load for LA County. everything is an hour plus wait. Maybe pay should compensate for the additional holidays they have off in order to meet the customer service loa d demands. they are civil servant's. hmmmm...... something to think about . limited holidays for county workers.... petition that idea. i gotta say most telephone and office clerks are very helpful considering the rawness of public etiquette.

I stopped working because I was raped and I have severe anxiety and depression and my entire life I had only had food stamps 1 time and in that one time when applying never have they asked me questions like this before, so I called to try to get food stamps for my son and the lady who helped me made me feel discriminated against she asked if I was Mexican or Latina and when I replied she made this little remark and when I told her “EXCUSE ME” she just accepted stupid and then asked for my immigration. Overall it was just an uncomfortable interaction

I didn't have to go for myself personally but a friend of mine had asked me if I could go with her so I accompanied her to this DPSS office because she's assigned here and My friend had to fill out some papers and drop of proof of documents that her caseworker asker to turn in . We entered a quiet building helpful staff directed her to the window she had to drop her documents off to and she waited in line to be seen less than 10 min. She handled her business. The worker double checked all her documents to make sure she filled out her paperwork properly an made sure she had all her document proofs that her caseworker asked for . The worker said ok everything looks correct and you complied with what they asked you for they gave her a receipt to save with date and time her proof of document turn in then she was done. We went in to this DPSS office about 2:15 pm and we were out of office about 2:35pm She waited in line was about 7min to be seen at her assigned window, The office had about less than 12 people in the fresh clean lobby waitting to be seen an while I sat waitting for her I noticed that the people where being called to be seen quickly and I noticed some people did what they had to do and were done quickly and left . As we first arrived there were about 12 or less people in lobby and by the time my friend was done there were about 4 people left . This office was really clean , attentive staff to assist and answer any question if u need answered , quiet and not a bit crowded and quick services too. Though it wasn't me needing to handle my business I like this office no long wait period we were in and out with a quickness . We did have to wait for our ride to pick us up for a lil bit cause we told our driver pick us up in like 30 to 45 min cause she thought it was going to be crowded or that she'd have to wait a good long min to be called but no we were in and out way before our estimated time that we told driver to pick us up. Also it didn't smell in there I was surprised to see it clean. I wish I could come to this office . My DPSS office is always long line to get in , long wait to be called to the window. The employees sometimes look annoyed by having to look u up in system and be seen , anyways the office by Olympic never in an out . You go in early and come out before or after they close to top it off employees have additide alot of times . It gets hot an chairs get filled fast . The security even get attitudes . The few times I been to the Olympic office fights broke out and security push u out don't let you talk to a supervisor they literally push loud people out the door and lock the doors so they dont come back in . I even seen the 2 security's laughing and making fun of the kicked out person
