The Zoo was good in general but I only give it 4 stars because a lot of the exhibits were closed, either without any reason or for renovation. Sadly the elephants are also at another Zoo for the time being, so you won't be able to see any. Other than that I had a good time and it's worth visiting considering the price is also pretty low. Try to arrive as early as possible as it is very big and you will need a lot of time to properly visit everything.

The animals look extremely healthy and very cared for. However, I couldn't help but feel bad. I noticed that some of them looked very sad. Although it broke my heart, I still captured some very cute moments. Some of the exhibits here were pretty empty as well. I didn't see any of the koala's or elephants. Overall, I'm very happy that I got to experience this.

I had one of the best experiences visiting the LA Zoo! The animals are clearly well taken care of, with clean enclosures, fresh food, and plenty of space to live. The zoo is beautifully maintained and great viewing areas that allow you to get a close look without disturbing the animals.

I came here 2 weeks ago with my brother. It was a very hot day, and I hadn’t been to the zoo in a while, and summer was here, so I thought it would be fun. Saw many animals, and most were in the shade getting away from the heat, so couldn’t get a real good look at them but was still nice to see them in person. Took many pictures at the zoo, some very silly and some interesting ones. It was a hot day, but I don’t regret going at all. It was still fun but hot. I definitely recommend going early before the animals go to sleep at 4-5, but overall, I enjoyed that day and would definitely come back again.

Such a great family friendly place. There are a lot of animals to see and extra exhibits in doors near the entrance. The zoo is huge so if you do the entire loop you will need about 2-3 hours and some good walking shoes. I was able to see a gorilla talk and a chimp talk hosted by the zoo keepers at different times throughout the day check their daily schedule so that you know what you can expect to see. Walking from place to place does take a while to plan ahead to get there on time. Overall I highly recommend this place they take good care of the animals and their well-being.
