Louisiana Place A Taste of Southern Soul on the West Coast My family and I visited Louisiana Place, and let me just say we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent, and the overall experience truly brought that Southern soul to the West Coast. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality stood out. The hostess at the front desk (unfortunately we didn’t get her name) was very kind and welcoming. If you can, make a reservation ahead of time this spot gets busy for good reason. The seating area isn’t your traditional booth-style setup; it’s more bench seating. It didn’t bother us, but if you’ve got back issues, just something to be aware of. For starters, I had the charbroiled oysters, and they were absolutely delicious. They also offer a brunch menu until 3:00 PM, which is a nice bonus if you’re coming earlier in the day. My wife ordered the oxtails, and I went with the 4-piece chicken wings and mac & cheese. Both dishes were full of flavor and hit the spot. Our server Madison was great super helpful, patient, and took the time to walk us through the menu without making us feel rushed. We spent around $120, which is pretty typical for us when dining out. Given the quality of food and service, we found it totally worth it. If you’re looking for hearty, flavorful Southern food with great service and a welcoming vibe, Louisiana Place is definitely worth a visit.

We came down from MN this was some of the best food I ever had in my life! I got the dookey chase meal. The chicken was fried to perfection, oxtail dirty rice was absolutely amazing with a perfect amount of spice. Also got a size of the Mac and cheese, absolutely amazing. Breezy was our server, she had very warm and welcoming energy. Very knowledgeable and patient. 10/10 on the food and experience.

Nestled on a quaint little corner in North Park, Louisiana Purchase was a nice little surprise walking distance from my home. The food was delicious - though we were a little bummed that they didn’t have any Beignets available. It’s quite a small space so I recommend reserving a table on Open Table to ensure a seat. Music was a bit loud and quite inappropriate for the younger ears but my daughters had their EarPods in so they didn’t hear it. Music was definitely given night-club 21 and over vibes at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon 🤭 but we enjoyed the food.

I enjoyed the restaurant’s ambience, the friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming staff. The oxtail was very tasty and tender. The mac n cheese and fried chicken was good too.
