I’ve been trusting the Lowes Foods cakery to make cakes for my family for years — and they never disappoint. From birthday celebrations to casual “just because” cakes, their team always delivers something that looks beautiful and tastes amazing. They even made the cake for my gender reveal, which was such a special moment for my family — and they got everything perfect, down to the color, flavor, and decorations. The staff is always friendly and helpful, especially when placing custom orders. I’ve brought in inspiration photos before, and they’ve matched the style almost exactly. The cakes are consistently moist, flavorful, and not overly sweet — which I really appreciate. Whether it’s for a kid’s party or an adult gathering, there’s never a slice left behind. If you’re looking for a dependable bakery with that “local, personal touch,” Lowes Foods is the one. Highly recommend their cakery for any special occasion (or when you just want a slice of something sweet).

Clean friendly store. They have lots of vegan and gluten-free products and continue to expand their selection. The employees in the bakery, deli, and meat departments are wonderful and make my experience there worth the visit everytime.

Pros Convenient, clean Cons Small, lack of variety, over priced compared to competitors. The meat market is the worst if you are looking for steaks. The steaks are all cut 1/2” to 3/4”. This is thin. I asked if they had or could cut a thick steak. I was told they don’t do that and told I could go to The Butchers Market if I wanted a thick steak. The Lowe’s I shopped at frequently in South Carolina had thick cut steaks in the meat counter and if they didn’t have what you wanted they would cut it for you. I believe I will take the young man’s advise from the meat department and shop elsewhere from now on.

Very organized, very clean, friendly staff, love the dry aged steak cabinet and selecting my cut of steak and size. Yum!

I flew in and needed groceries for my stay in N Carolina. I was disappointed that the organic produce section had very little options left. So I had to shop elsewhere.
