Quaint neighborhood type pool, but private - not part of a HOA. Great swim team program. Occasional fun activities planned like weekend movie nights. They now have an ice maker! If they are at capacity membership, as they say they are, they should be able to maintain the appearance of the property much more than they have. There is a lot they can do to improve the property appearance. They could do a LOT to improve the landscaping beyond the immediate area surrounding the fenced in area. Large piles of stumps and brush are unsightly. Don't drive too fast - their parking lot / driveway is now atrocious with large divots and potholes. The lot and driveway are NOT paved. They REALLY should mark with a pole or railing, the boundaries of the bridge crossing the creek!

The Medfield pool is a total throwback to the neighborhood pools of the 70's. Somehow, however, it is still awesome to today's kids also. Complete with a 10' deep end and a real diving board it is quite different from the modern water worlds being built in most new developements. Nestled deep within the Medfield neighborhoods old growth Oaks, the pool is a hidden surprise to most people the first time they see it. Neighborhoods surronding the pool on the West side of Raleigh and East side of Cary are welcome to join the pool for a fee of around $500 for the season. A competitive swim team for kids ages 6-18 is a thrill to spend some of your time on summer breaks .
