Mercy and Wisdom used to be an amazing clinic with the highest level of care I'd received from any naturopath clinic previously. Now, you can't get them to return a phone call to save your life. I left them four messages within a two month period trying to get an appointment and never got a call back. I decided then to seek out a new naturopath and sent in a written request for my records. 3 months later, they have yet to respond or send them.

Mercy & Wisdom is a fine place to start if you're trans and feel ready to start hormone therapy. That being said, it's definitely not a good resource for anything long term. I've been given the run-around not once, but three times in just one year of working with them. I've been misgendered a number of times, and especially dead-named. Upon checkout the last few times, they gave me the wrong amount for the total, and called me later to get more money from me. The last time I was there, about a month ago, was the last straw. My roommate went in, having told them beforehand that she would like to get onto injectable hormones (she's been on the estrogen pill form for about 2 yrs and I finally convinced her to switch) and the doctor they had her see had absolutely zero experience with trans patients. Their every answer was "I'm not 100% on that", or "I can't be for certain". Not only that, they tried to draw her blood but couldn't get anything, but still made us pay for the draw fee and the appointment itself despite literally just wasting time, and gas, and money.

The care at this affordable clinic is amazing. I am amazed at how Dr. Lu figures out what is needed. I take my Western medicine lab work to her and she resolves the condition. Massages are also available at an affordable price. There is not any other place I have found that is so helpful.

They like to misgender trans patients and wouldn't even give their best employee a raise or healthcare despite her doing the job of three people. I suggest Dr. Alana Branson downtown instead of this clinic.
