I found this center very welcoming and refreshing as I have been exploring different communities since moving to Portland. For the first time in my exploring, I did not feel like beliefs were being pushed onto me. The Sunday meeting consisted of a nice spread of meditation, qi gong, and a dharma talk.

During the pandemic, my family moved just outside of Boulder, Colorado, somewhere I expected to be swimming in meditation centers, teachers and groups. Nothing we've so far encountered here resonated the way PIMC did when we lived in Portland. We dearly miss the community and its gifted teacher, Robert Beatty, who shares from a place of accessible self-honesty and humanness that is uncommon in teachers of a spiritual nature. The qigong offering from Jim Dalton was also a wonderful addition to weekly meditation practice. Lots of love.

As we live in Victoria we were here only once but it was wonderful. Great to hear Robert in person. Followed by some socializing and a mini potluck. Then Robert drove us all the way back to where we’ll were live staying. We have also had two retreats with Robert and Don at Hollyhock.ca which were amazing.

I started attending their online sessions during the COVID outbreak. It has been utterly life changing. Each day I start with so much peace and gratitude. I can only hope that Robert continues to host the meditations after things go back to "normal." I've also attended Jim Dalton's classes and they are great. Such kind people. Another review stated that PIMC disregards other religions or thinks lesser of them (paraphrasing) yet I've found other religions brought up in practice in good light and honesty. Thanks for everyone's work at PIMC. I'm a monthly contributor now.

PIMC is wonderful refuge that's a real treasure for spiritual growth and community in the Portland/Vancouver area. I love the Sunday service that combines a guided meditation, guided movement and a dharma talk. In addition, the have a lot other activities for feeding the mind, heart and spirit. BTW, I'm new to the community and I've found Robert and his team to be open-minded, compassionate, thoughtful and generous. Also, I'm not being paid to post this review in spite of some of the cynical and misinformed reviews I've seen posted. PIMC is the real deal and definitely worth checking out.
