I like this place — it’s not my first time here — but this was the first time I was forced to pay an 18% tip. It was just the two of us having breakfast, and I found it surprising and disappointing that the tip was automatically added to the bill without any notice. The server’s attitude was somewhat hostile, although he did fulfill his duties. The food is good, though nothing exceptional. The place itself is nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, the mandatory tip added to the bill without informing the customer in advance felt inappropriate and left a bad impression. Tipping should not be mandatory, especially when the service isn’t exceptional. It should be earned, not enforced.

This is great place to meet in Hyde Park. You see community leaders, students and their families, and hotel residents taking their animals for a walk. The drink menu is extensive...the food menu not as much. We had to keep chasing our waiter down and I can still hear him say, "look lady I just work here, I don't make any decisions. " I paid in cash and had to ask for my $70 in change back (clearly not an expectation that this is what one does if you do not hear the patron say keep the change). The food was good and plated well. Portions were a little on the smaller side for the price.

Fancy hotel bar in Hyde park. Very classy. Drinks are a little expensive but they are mixed really well. Definitely a high class joint that you would hang out with good friends or to go out on a date. The chicken salad was decent. The chicken is juicy and tender. The salad itself isn’t bad but not superb as I have tried at other fine dining places. But overall it was a nice experience. I give it 5 stars.⭐️

I went for a friend’s birthday. Our server Al was attentive and accommodating. He brought out special limoncellos for our party. Though the menu was limited, I settled for the Lobster Roll. The texture was a little different from what I’m used to. I wasn’t very fond of the lobster mayo, it sort of overpowered the roll for my taste. The french fries were good. The pear margarita was an excellent choice, it wasn’t too sweet at all. The sugar rim was a nice touch!
