SO. MANY. BLASTBEATS. Not a criticism, just a statement of fact. I have rented from Puddletown (now Metrognome, which, oof guys that is so bad) for over a decade at 3 different locations, and if I could compile all of the proficient technical metal drummers into one active group, we could possibly solve most world problems through sheer force of double bass thunder. I don’t know if it’s something in Portland’s water or what, but this might be the only city in America that doesn’t lack heavy metal drummers. Granted, those cats are usually in 3-5 bands still, so good luck locking one down for your own project. Regardless, hell hath no fury like a Puddletown at 7 pm.
