Super friendly staff and well laid out floor plan makes it easy to shop. Edited to add an update on 4/18/2025 - priced were marked up higher by a few dollars for many items due to tariffs changes when we visited today. Staff still friendly and helpful.

I have major health problems. I need a taller basket to walk into the store. The short Safeway basket works perfectly and is only a little larger than the Michael’s basket but is much taller. I have lived in Cupertino for 61 years. I am retired and I am trying to get into a routine of walking and moving around. Michael’s was one of the stores that I would leisurely walk-through to look at items And to sometimes purchase things. However, the management at Michael’s refused to let me use the Safeway basket in the store because they said I was impeding foot traffic. At the time there were three people in the entire store. I think the real problem Was that I didn’t look like the customer they wanted in the store. I have a backpack that has medical equipment that I need to constantly check things with. They think I’m a homeless person and I’m not wanted. It’s nice to know that if you spend a good amount of money, they want you but if you’re just looking around and not spending very much they’d rather you not be in the store. Especially if you look a little older and scruffier. 61 years in Cupertino and they make me feel like trash thanks a lot.

It's been a while since I've been inside a Michaels. I actually brought something to return. Turns out Michael's HQ hasn't figured out how to link their online store with their brick n mortar store! Anyways, the manager there was so super patient to help resolve the problem. I felt like she went out of her way to solve the problem for me and took the care and time to help me out. I think her name was Maria. Thank you so much!

I prefer looking, feeling and buying supplies in store instead of shopping online. However, the 30% coupon online doesn’t work in store. I really don’t understand the strategy, especially after Joann’s 2nd bankruptcy. If I can order online, why don’t I order on Amazon?

Shady business tacticts. If you order online for pickup they throw something in the bag that you didn't order and charge you for it. The whole point of ordering for pickup is so you can just take only a few seconds to grab your order and go. What you don't expect to do is have the wrong items in your bag, not realize it until you get home then have to go back to the store & discuss it with a manager + look for the replacement item you originally ordered. I ordered X 1 frosting bag star tip... But they charged me for 2 tips, Only gave me one, & it was not a star tip at all, it is a really skinny narrow tip that I do not need. I checked my order I didn't order that by mistake they just added it to my order and charged me for it and didn't give me the star tip. So now I have to go back return the tip and pick up the tip I do need I'll probably spend 20 minutes in the store trying to find it.
