The water was roaring loudly, but it seemed calm & peaceful after the monsoon storm. It was my first time visiting this place. Dogs are allowed. There are some leash signs, mostly for bad dogs. A well behaved chocolate lab was technically off its leash, but it strutted right on by me. I appreciate good dogs like that. I said “Hi” to the dog owner. It’s kind of a magical place after the rain.

Lovely peaceful location that I’ve enjoyed a handful of times over the years. I highly recommend for the birding enthusiast as there are an abundance of birds. The creeks is perfectly surrounded by a well maintained trail and the ambiance sound of the water is soothing. Visit. Enjoy. You will not regret it.

Tucked away little park with trails running along a stream. Nice to have something like this that’s free and open to the public. I also appreciated the landscaping and interpretative signs. Mahalo!

I LOVE the miller bird sanctuary. It’s like a little hike tucked into the beautiful Liberty Heights neighborhood. Honestly, I walk around the river and then walk around the neighborhood to look at the houses as well 😂 It really is a beautiful walk around the red butte creek. Well worth the visit.

It's a nice place for an afternoon/evening walk. It's shaded all the way and green and has a creek flowing through it. You will encounter some wildflowers and lots of cherry plum trees. It is also just a little more humid than the rest of the city because of the creek. It's an easy walk and dog friendly. If you are into birds, this might be a good spot - I am not sure since I gave only been there a few times and wasn't looking for birds.
