Mudville is such a welcoming space. I came in with zero experience and learned so much during the 4 week intro to ceramics class. We did some handbuilding and also spent some time on the wheel. The value for the classes is there in instruction time alone, but they also include open studio time which allowed me to practice what we learned in class. My son and I also took a parent/child class where we made berry bowls. It was a great intro for my son and he was so excited and proud when we picked up our finished bowls. We will definitely be back!

So glad we found Mudville! We were visiting from out of town and wanted to drop in to a pottery studio and this place was amazing! A super easy-going and non-threatening place for beginner and intermediate potters to learn and grow. Lauren was so incredible and took one-on-one time with my daughter to help her expand her knowledge of working with the wheel. We will certainly be back when we are in the Portland area. Thanks so much!

Had a private party here. The group had a great time using the wheel to create everything from bowls, cups, to vases. Lauren and Lou are amazing teachers and expertly educated our group of novices in the fundamentals of spinning clay. We had a great time and are extremely grateful to both of them for making the party a huge success!

This place is great... thrilled to have a great clay studio on the west side. The owners are kind and helpful, and Lou is an AMAZING teacher... if you are new to clay, he's your guy. Appreciate him tons!
