Update... I emailed this person who left a remark but she has not replied. want to highlight a major concern with National University, specifically regarding their lack of advisor communication. I have tried to be patient and understanding as a military veteran returning to school, but the experience with my academic advisor, Kori, has been extremely disappointing. I applied for graduation and also submitted my application for upper-level courses, expecting guidance and at least a confirmation or update. It has now been over two months, and I still have not heard back from my advisor. In that time, I have reached out multiple times with no response. This is unacceptable, especially considering the financial investment I am making in my education. These classes and degree plans are expensive, and I expect professional, timely support when trying to advance my education. The lack of communication has been a huge barrier. I feel ignored, and it’s preventing me from making progress toward graduation. If you are considering National University, be prepared to deal with poor communication and significant delays in academic advising. Students deserve better — consistent, respectful, and timely communication is the bare minimum for any accredited university.

Do NOT attend this university. My brother reached out as he was trying to enroll. His first advisor was great, but once he was transferred to another advisor, everything fell apart. He didn’t hear back regarding how to pay, what classes he needed to take, etc for over two months. He constantly followed up with no response. After over three month, he got a text NOT a phone call, but a text on a Thursday saying that he has class on Monday. A) He didn’t pay and still didn’t know how to pay. B) He was on vacation and couldn’t attend class due to the short notice. He’s a lot nice than I am which is why I’m writing this. I want everyone to know their very VERY poor communication to potential students.

I Would give them negative 5 stars if I could. I applied for the MSN program with high hopes for smooth start. unfortunately, my experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I applied for the program before April for the start date of July. they changed ,y start date three times without a clear explanation or adequate communication. despite numerous emails, phone calls text messages and attempts to reach out to my advisory Taylor for answers, I have received little to no response. This constant rescheduling not only disrupted my plans but also felt like a complete disrupted my plans but also felt like a complete disregard for my time and commitment to the program. I expected a higher level of professionalism and reliability from an institution that promises excellence, but my experience has been the exact opposite, PLEASE DO NOT apply here if you are serious about your education. A more transparent process and better communication are urgently needed here.

National University's online MA in Strategic Communication is the perfect program for working professionals. The flexible, 4-week course format made it easy to balance school with my full-time job. I loved how real-world the curriculum was—everything from campaign planning to crisis communication had direct application in my day-to-day work. The professors are incredibly knowledgeable and bring valuable industry experience to the classroom. They’re supportive, responsive, and genuinely invested in student success. The program is short, focused, and full of practical insight that helped me grow both personally and professionally. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to advance in the field of communication.

I’ve had a very positive experience at NU overall. The university offers a wide range of resources to help you get the most out of your program. While I did encounter a significant issue with financial aid, I followed the proper channels and stayed in communication with my previous advisor. I’m especially grateful to Natalie and Don for their support and dedication throughout the process. Although there are still a few areas that could be improved, I believe NU is actively working to address them and enhance the student experience.
