New City Microcreamery, founded in 2015, is a standout destination for ice cream lovers seeking innovative and high-quality frozen treats. Located in Massachusetts, it has earned acclaim as one of the best ice cream shops in the state. Very delicious ice cream! The mango sorbet was excellent, and the salted cookies & cream was also tasty—though quite sweet, so if you're not a fan of overly sweet flavors, you might want to skip that one. The baklava and Boston pie flavors were also great! I recommend asking for a few sample tastes before ordering so you can choose your favorite.

Delicious ice cream in the Cambridge area. So far the second best in Boston. First off hats off to the staff. Both of the women there were super kind and allowed me to try many flavours before choosing. Didn’t feel rushed at all, and they gave some great advice on the flavours. Makes a huge difference to the overall experience. I ended up deciding on 1 scoop of the Salted Cookies and Cream and 1 scoop of Tres Leches. Honestly hesitated for a long time because the Nutella and Ferrero Rocher was also amazing and definitely a must try for chocolate lovers. What separates New City Microcreamery from other ice cream shops is the texture. It’s super smooth and creamery but still somehow quick light. In my opinion their ice cream has the best texture out of all the shops in Boston. The Tres Leches was delicious: great salted caramel flavour with actual caramel mixed into the ice cream. The Salted Cookies and Cream was also fantastic: big crunchy pieces of Oreo, and the slight salted note was a great idea. The only thing stopping this place from being a 5 stars is that there isn’t any « this is the best scoop of ice cream I’ve ever had flavour » yet. They’re definitely capable of it, I just think they need to « push the enveloppe » a bit further in terms of how bold their flavours are.

The ice cream here was as good as I heard with way more going on with the flavors! The mix ins are the highlight with the baklava having layers of honey and nuts, and the salted cookies n cream had these delicious crispy cookie clusters. Not to mention how good the actual homemade waffle cone was, so definitely a must have. Overall really great, definitely coming back to try more soon!

I absolutely love ice cream. My initial plan was to go to another well known shop nearby, but decided to visit New City after seeing the staff at the other place engaged in some unsanitary behaviors. I didn't try the ice cream at the other place, but I was really happy with what I had at New City. We sampled Salted Cookies and Cream and honestly I couldn't taste anything. Also sampled Cake Batter and it was too sweet, maybe this one is more tailored to a kid's palate lol ended up ordering Baklava and Espresso Mud Pie. The espresso flavor was really intense, but I enjoyed it even though I don't drink coffee. The Baklava was absolutely delicious. I loved the flavors, the filo dough and the nuts. The serving size is also very decent.

The selection of flavors makes me count my blessings!!! There were so many to choose from. There’s also a selection of different cones and cups to choose from as well. I tried the Dubai Chocolate this time … I’d say it’s such an interesting combo of caramel, chocolate, and pistachio! The texture of it is so good. I wish I had a second stomach to eat more. The service was kind and patient with my eagerness to sample a few flavors. The ceiling is quite high, making it feel spacious in spite of the limited seating. It was a fun place to visit with dearly beloved friends!
