Beautiful and clear trail with numerous signs along the way telling you where to stay away from. This is obviously an attempt to preserve our beautiful nature. This trail does have quite the incline and consists of mostly sharp rock and gravel. I did however, see alot of families with their kids, and they did just fine! 😊

Great semi-technical loop to top w/easy descent

This trailhead is located at the second parking structure, from the first main parking lot. If you’re walking up from the first main parking lot, it’s an incline walk and then to the right to find Trail 44. The first part of the trail is not paved, rocky, and a strenuous up hill hike. You finally reach a paved section of the hike, which gives you photo ops. Although easier to keep your footing, this path continues to go up in elevation, until you reach the antennas. There is an opportunity to high five 🖐️ or keep going up an unpaved rocky trail to the tip top. There’s a lot of traffic in and out of the park, but amble parking spots. Dog friendly, on leash, and so many chipmunks and squirrels in the area. I found the hike strenuous for a beginner hiker, but it’s a nice cardio challenge for a more experienced hiker. Great hike!

Easy to access trail in Phoenix. Scenic hike. Surprised by the paved portion of the trail but it was a nice break from the rocky portions.
