Took ASA101 with Julian as our instructor and he was absolutely fantastic. Learned a ton of things that will help us beyond the 101 level. The class was engaging, fun, and prepped us well as we begin our sailing journey. I would absolutely recommend Northwest Sailing if you're looking to learn to sail.

Tana did a great job in explaining things and providing support while we tried them on our own. We dramatically increased our knowledge and comfort with running the boat ourselves during our 3 days. She was able to adapt to what we needed given 3 students at varying levels and underlying knowledge bases. I would say that the helm/throttle set up on the 36’ boat we used was very challenging as you could not steer/see over the bow and adjust the gears at the same time causing significant challenges. Thank you!!
