My husband and I visited Oaks Amusement Park for the first time on the Fourth of July after seeing their holiday special on Instagram—about $40 per person for an all-day pass, which we thought was a great deal for a local year-round park! We arrived around 6 p.m. and stayed through the amazing 20-minute firework show. The park had a welcoming vibe with lots of picnic tables, shaded spots, and space for families to set up their own grills. We didn’t try the vendor food, but there were plenty of options. Ride lines moved quickly, even with a few people cutting in line—especially noticeable at the go-karts, which had the longest wait due to safety briefings (understandably so). Most of the staff were young, friendly, and upbeat—even on a holiday! A few things to note: the bathrooms were cramped and not very clean, with limited sinks and no hand sanitizer stations. For a family-friendly park, I expected better hygiene options. Parking was also a bit chaotic—only one way in and out, and though staff were present, they didn’t do much to help guide traffic. We were also bummed the roller rink was closed and mini golf wasn’t included in the pass. Despite that, we had a great time and plan to return. Highly recommend for families and casual fun—just come prepared for the crowds and bring your own sanitizer!

This is the only amusement park in the Portland area, and it's been a community mainstay for a very long time. There's a fairly decent amount of rides here, and there's a carnival or county fair feel to it. There is a roller coaster, vertical drop rides, bumper cars, go-karts, a roller staking rink, a large picnic area, and even a small train you can ride which goes around the park. There are games like you'd find at the midway at a fair, and food available at various places. Parking can be tough here, and it's pay to park so make sure to stop at the kiosk, get your parking pass and leave it visible in the car before heading into the park. They sometimes have fairs and festivals here, and usually there is an Oktoberfest held here picnic area.

Had a really fun day at the park yesterday with my kiddo and nieces. There was a nice variety of rides which even my short little two-year-old could enjoy. We went on a kids' day where adults are free and you pay for the kids' tickets and they just need an adult on some rides. The staff could use some training so they know how many spots they can fit. Lots of unnecessary delays because the staff were undertrained. Overall very fun. Kids had a blast which is all we could ask for.

My family had a fantastic time at this vintage amusement park, which opened in 1905. Grandpa (me) even tried a few thrill rides for the first time in many years—Tilt-A-Whirl and Scrambler and survived! The bumper cars were a blast as well. The grandkids, ages 11 and 8, were in Nirvana at the Oaks. It was an overcast day and it rained occasionally but we didn’t mind because lines were short. Highly recommended!

I took my 2 teenagers, 16 and 14, on 4th of July. $$Cost was decent 40$ each admission & unlimited rides. As well as a firework display at 10 pm. Park opened at noon. Yikes! A long time riding rides and entertaining 2 teens. Parking was little tough but we got it lol we had stopped prior to arriving. Also, and picked up food for lunch ie. sandwiches, snacks, a couple of drinks... *saved Mom some $$ for sure lol 😆 Overall great investment. I even ride 3 rides. Regretted it immediately after the second one book gluten. For punishment and hence, the third one... lol the line started getting long as the crowd got bigger. We arrived about one left, close to 530/ 6 o'clock. We were exhausted and didn't mind misding the explosions. My sixteen year old had never been to oaks park, so we are home and she was wiped out.She slept till the next day, afternoon. Total, roughly 250$ for the festivities and lots of pictures and memories later... Great day spent w/ my kids 💓 loved it!
